1 cup maida
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup sugar
100 gms butter
1 tbsp cocoa
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cap dark rum (optional)
A handful of chopped walnuts
Take the chocolate chips and butter in a microwaveable bowl.
Microwave for 30 seconds. Remove, stir well and microwave for another 30 secs. Ensure the chips are melted. If necessary repeat for another 30 seconds.
Beat the eggs and add sugar and whisk well.
Combine maida, cocoa and baking powder.
Add the chocolate mixture and stir well but gently.
Fold this mixture into the chocolate mixture.
Add the walnuts, vanilla essence and rum and mix gently so no white is seen.
Pour into a foil lined baking pan.
Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 deg for about 30 mins.
Cool and pull the slab out of the tray with the help of the foil edges.
Cut the slab into squares.
Serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
