All below ingredients to be ground to a fine paste
1/2 fresh coconut, grated
7 dry red kashmiri chillies
1 small onion
4 flakes garlic
1 tsp jeera
3 tbsp dhania whole
2 pepper corns
1 tsp tumeric powder (haldi)
1 small ball tamarind soaked in a little water
Apply salt and a little haldi to the fish pieces and set aside
Cut the onion fine.
In the dish in which the curry is to be cooked, squeeze the onion well with the curry leaves, ginger which is pounded roughly and salt.
This mix should release juices
Add the ground masala to this with two slit Green chillies and being to a boil.
In the meanwhile wash the fish pieces well.
When the curry starts boiling add the fish pieces and boil on medium heat till fish is done.
Should take about 7 mins.
Take care that the fish does not overboil or the pieces will break.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
