250 gms all purpose flour (maida)
250 gms sugar
250 gms butter (300 if you like a more buttery taste)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
Sift the flour and baking powder together.
Cream the sugar and butter together. Beat the egg whites till fluffy. Ten add the yolks and beat through.
Add the butter and sugar and continue beating.
Add the flour little at a time and mix.
Add the vanilla essence and mix.
Bake at 180 deg for about 30 mins or when a toothpick comes out clean when pierced in the centre.
