Onion & Tomato Raita

200 gms thick yoghurt
2 medium size onions, chopped fine
1 medium size tomato, diced small
2 green chillies, chopped fine
A handful of coriander leaves
Salt to taste


Mix the onions, chillies and coriander leaves and crush in the salt with your hand.
Set aside for some time till the juices of the onion are released.
Mix in the tomatoes with a fork.
Whip the yoghurt and mix well.
Serve cool with biryani, pulao or even parathas.

To ensure creamy texture, add in the yoghurt not more than 10 minutes before serving.
