Milk Toffee


1 tin of condensed milk
1 fresh coconut
400 gms sugar
50 gms butter


Grate the coconut and grind to a fine paste in the blender.
Mix the condensed milk, coconut and sugar in a heavy bottom vessel.
Cook on medium flame stirring all the time till the mixture starts leaving the sides of the vessel.
Stir in the butter and cook for a few minutes more till you can easily form a ball without the mixture sticking to you fingers.
Pour the mixture onto a greased dish and spread with the help of a greased rolling pin.
Finish by patting gently all over with a greased palm.
Let it cool for some time and cut into diamond shapes.
A pizza cutter works well for this.
Let it cool completely and then separate the diamonds.
Store in an air tight container.
