1 cup brown rice
3 tbsp butter
2 sprigs rosemary
1 sprig thyme
A few parsely leaves
Salt to taste
Wash and soak the brown rice for about an hour.
Take about 10 cups of water in a vessel and bring to a boil.
Finely chop the herbs and add to the butter.
Melt the herb-butter mixture in the microwave.
Drain the rice and add to the boiling water, with enough salt.
When the rice is soft and fluffy, (test that there is no hard centre) drain the water completely from the rice.
Add the herb-butter mix and stir thru the rice with a fork.
Put back on heat, with cover, for 5-7 minutes.
Your herbed butter brown rice is ready to be served.
