500 gms shelled and deviened medium size prawns
1 bunch of fenugreek leaves (methi) cut fine
2 green chillies, chopped fine
2 big onions, sliced fine
2 big tomatoes, diced small
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Oil as required
Apply salt to the prawns and set aside.
Heat oil in a kadhai (wok) and add the onion and chillies.
Saute till the oinon is transparent.
Add the fenugreek leaves and mix well.
Saute on high heat till the leaves reduce to half the size.
Add the chopped tomatoes and a little salt.
In the meanwhile, wash and drain the prawns.
Once the tomatoes are softened, add the tumeric powder and chilli powder and saute for a while.
Then add the prawns and saute on high heat for 5-7 minutes.
The prawns should be cooked through by then.
Serve hot with roti or bread.
